What can I say, it's Nicholas Sparks so it's mindless drivel...perfect for summer reading when you don't want to think. I certainly didn't have to. I figured out the 'twist' (if it can even be called a twist) very early on. It's been done before, and better. I think I probably should steer clear of Mr. Sparks from now on, even for mindless summer reading.

Loving htis series more and more. Bastien and Terri were great together. I have the next 3 lined up to read soon. Can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the family. I really like the explanation for vampires in this series. It's scientific and so it makes more sense.

My thoughts: This book is a Harlequin Romance and as such was okay. I wanted to read it because it was set in Appalachia. It is what it is.
