X is for Xenophobia

X is for xenophobia.
I started worrying about my x,y,z posts a few days ago and went on a hunt for 'x' words in Wiktionary. I found
xenophobia and thought it was certainly a timely word to explore given the issue of illegal immigration. Are those who are in favor of a stricter adherence to current immigration laws xenophobic?  Xenophobia is defined as  deep-rooted antipathy towards foreigners (Oxford English Dictionary). The Dictionary of Psychiatry defines it as "a fear of strangers". I'm sure this label could be applied to some but certainly not all who call for illegals to be deported. X is for xenophobia, now I'm searching for those y and z words for Friday and Saturday posts!

  1. You and I chose the same word for X is for ...
Xenophobia. You applied your definition to a current situation while mine refers to issues in the 60s.

  2. X was indeed a hard one. Good luck in your search for the final two. Nice to meet you through the Challenge.
